#InterNatCroMo: Textiles 4 You

It's day 6 of our International crochet month blog tour here on Momwithahook's Crochet Journal. Today we're visiting Textiles 4 You blog.

Kristy is the blogger for Textiles 4 You and she has her degree in textiles. She is also an environmentalist so much of what she creates is from recycled [upcycled] materials. Check out her latest post on spinning plarn. Plarn is yarn made from plastic.

Kristy also hosts a local public access tv show where she shows folks how to reuse items. You can check out her show via her Youtube channel. It was through one of her tutorials that I found her blog.

It was her pillow box favors tutorial where she makes gift boxes out of upcycled toilet tissue rolls. For those who crochet jewelry this is a clever and artistic way to wrap your gifts for your family and friends.

I like textiles 4 you because she shares so much of her crafting thought process. She is also a gaming fan and takes part in a number of crafting challenges. The latest was the Nerd Wars in which she entered her cute and adorable amigurumi creation Izzy Pig.
